Diverse-Owned Vendor Opportunities Now Open for the LPGA Tour’s Cognizant Founders Cup in Northern New Jersey

Local and diverse suppliers can register for sourcing opportunities across 11 categories for the 2024 Cognizant Founders Cup through Jan. 10, 2024

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Dec. 14, 2023) – The LPGA has launched its LPGA VendorMatch program to encourage diverse and locally owned businesses to register for potential sourcing opportunities for the 2024 Cognizant Founders Cup at Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, N.J., to be held May 6-12.

The program advances inclusion of diverse-owned businesses in procurement opportunities, including businesses owned by women, minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, Veterans, service-disabled Veterans and local small businesses. A variety of goods and services are needed, including event photography, florals, printing, transportation and beauty services.

Interested suppliers can register at www.vraconnect.org/lpga-vendormatch through Jan. 10, 2024.

“A core principle of the LPGA is to ‘Act like a Founder,’ honoring our 13 original Founding Members. Our association was built on the foundation of promoting diversity, equity and inclusion, so we're enthusiastic about extending an invitation to diverse vendors and small business owners,” said LPGA Chief Financial Officer Kathy Milthorpe. “This is an opportunity to participate in our supply chain which in turn contributes to the economic well-being of the host community.”

As part of the $102 billion golf industry, LPGA Tour competitions drive significant entertainment and tourism dollars within host cities and surrounding areas. The LPGA VendorMatch program expands the association’s impact by providing potential business and procurement opportunities for local and diverse suppliers.

At the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup, three women-owned businesses were selected through the LPGA VendorMatch program.
